What uses are permitted on library computers?
- Hodges Library
The Studio. The primary
purpose of these computers is production and editing of digital media
assignments and projects. However, ten computers may be used for online
homework and study as well as for access to electronic texts. Use of
these computers for email or Internet surfing only is not permitted.
A valid UT identification
card is required for use of these computers. You may check out headphones
at the Media Center service desk.
The computers in other areas
of the Hodges Library are in high demand for access to the Libraries’ catalog
and research databases. If you have your own headphones and find an
available computer, you may access online reserve materials or online
study materials.
However, it is better to go to an OIT Computer Lab or to The Studio.
- Music Library

The ten computers in the Music Library
reference room are used for access to the Libraries’ catalog and databases
as well as online reserves and audiovisual materials. Headphones are
available at each computer.
- Agriculture-Veterinary Medicine Library
Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital, room A113
Thirty-two computers are available in
this branch library. You may request headphones at the circulation desk.
