How quickly can my work be done?

Our standard turnaround time is three to five working days depending on the size and scope of your project. However, we will accommodate quick turnaround requests when possible. Let us know your deadline. If there's a way, we'll meet it. We'll do our best.

How much does it cost?

Faculty can have instructional support materials digitized and stored on the DMS server for free. These materials must be used in courses in which UT students are enrolled and are receiving credit toward a degree. Faculty must provide the course name, course number, and section number if applicable. Other projects will incur minimal charges. See our Services page for more information.

Once my materials are digitized, how do I access them?

DMS will provide you with a link or URL to your files. This link can be added to your BlackBoard page or to your personal web page to make the material accessible to your classes.

How do I contact you?

The Digital Media Service office is located at 209 Hodges Library near the main circulation desk at the Melrose Avenue entrance.

When are you open?

Our hours are 9:00-5:00 Monday through Friday, but we will be happy to meet with you by appointment if you have needs outside those hours.

Can my materials be saved on a disk?

Material can be saved to disk only if you hold the copyright to the material. You must provide the disk. CDs can be purchased for $.50 at DMS, but must be charged to your departmental account. CDs, DVDs, and other disks are available across the hall from DMS in the UT Bookstore's Library branch.

What if I don't hold the copyright on the materials I want to have digitized?

If your request exceeds fair use, we can assist you with copyright clearances. For more information about copyright and fair use, see our Copyright page.
